K4K Salutes Modify

modifyThis month, Keey 4 Kommunities, inc. would like to salute the ongoing efforts of Founder, Maia Bean and Volunteer Modify.

Tell us about Volunteer Modify?
Modify is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage a sense of responsibility amongst individuals in our community. We facilitate various volunteer and fund-raising opportunities that encourage a hands-on approach to improving our community. We as individuals must actively be involved for change to occur. Modify volunteers monthly in the Houston Area. We have volunteered for organizations such as The Houston Food Bank, The Star of Hope, and The Blacke Student Summit. We hope to continue our efforts of spreading the love of service in Houston, in Texas, and eventually across America and on an International platform.

It is awesome to see young ladies highlighting the importance of service, how did this vision between the two of you come together?
I was going through a personal struggle when God blessed me with this vision. I was whining and complaining about my “silly” circumstance and He reminded me that I am truly blessed but I hadn’t been a blessing to others. So, He told me to do something about it….then came Modify.

What do you all hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?
In 15 years, we hope to be the main source that people look for when it comes to their community service needs. We will have multiple divisions such has Modify Celebration where we organized birthday service events. We will be known around the country with several other sites. We hope that God uses us in a mighty way to be a blessing to those who seek help and assistance.

As founders, what are you most proud of, regarding the organization?

We are most proud of the opportunity to help others. It is not everyday that God blesses you with such responsibility. We are proud to be servants.

How can organizations get in touch with you?
Those who are interested in volunteering with us or need assistance with a service project can contact us at either our website: or by emailing us at

Share a final thought?
Finally, we hope to encourage others, young and old, to make one of their passions to give their time and assistance to our struggling communities.
